Highfield Launches New RIBs at Fall Boat Shows

Highfield Boats will introduce up to three new rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) at the upcoming Annapolis and Fort Lauderdale boat shows, alongside a series of refinements to several existing models. The company also confirmed a new partnership with ZeroJet and ePropulsion to expand electric propulsion options across its lineup. These launches and upgrades emphasize Highfield’s dual focus on performance and versatility—offering traditional outboard power as well as growing electric alternatives for quieter, cleaner operation.

Highfield Sport 800

The Highfield Sport 800 is a large, versatile RIB designed to serve as either a capable offshore-cable boat or a luxury yacht tender. With the option of up to twin 150-hp outboards, the Sport 800 provides strong performance for coastal cruising and dayboating. Its layout accommodates up to 15 passengers, making it suitable for transporting guests or running commercial shuttle duties.

On deck, the aft cockpit features a sizable removable table and a refrigerator located beneath the aft-facing seat for convenient refreshments while underway. The rear bench folds down to create an aft sunpad for lounging, and the Sport 800 is supplied standard with a hardtop to provide shade and weather protection. These features combine to make the Sport 800 both comfortable and functional for long days on the water.

Highfield ZeroJet 330

The Highfield ZeroJet 330, which first appeared at the Dusseldorf International Boat Show, will make its U.S. debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Developed in collaboration with New Zealand electric jet propulsion specialist ZeroJet, this compact 11-foot RIB demonstrates Highfield’s commitment to electric drive options.

The ZeroJet 330 delivers a reported top speed of 22 knots and, according to the builder, operates with low noise levels thanks to its electric drive. Instead of a conventional propeller, the boat uses a jet pump for propulsion, which can offer advantages in shallow water and improved safety around swimmers. Twin 48-volt LiFePO4 lithium-ion batteries power the system and are rated to provide run times of up to 7.5 hours under the conditions described by the manufacturer, making the ZeroJet 330 well suited to short excursions, tenders, and quiet harbor cruising.

Highfield Classic Max

Highfield is expanding its Classic RIB range with a new “Max” bow locker configuration. The larger bow locker is designed to accept a variety of lithium-ion battery brands and sizes, enabling owners to specify different types of electric propulsion setups more easily. This flexibility allows Classic Max models to be configured either for extended electric range or to carry additional equipment and provisions, depending on owner needs.

The Highfield Classic Max 340 will be exhibited at both the Annapolis Boat Show and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), giving visitors an opportunity to inspect the enhanced storage and electric-compatibility features in person.

Making its debut at the Annapolis Boat Show, the Highfield Classic 340E is an 11-foot RIB equipped with a 9.9-hp Navy 6.0 Evo electric outboard supplied by ePropulsion. Designed for quiet, low-emission operation, the Classic 340E reaches top speeds of up to 10 knots and demonstrates how small RIBs can be effectively electrified for tendering, short-range cruising, and environmentally sensitive harbors.

Overall, Highfield’s new models and upgrades reflect a balanced approach to modern boating: maintaining strong outboard performance while steadily expanding electric propulsion choices. The partnership with ZeroJet and ePropulsion underlines Highfield’s intention to offer owners more propulsion flexibility—ranging from hybrid and full-electric solutions to traditional petrol outboards—so customers can configure boats to match their operational needs and environmental preferences. Attendees at both the Annapolis and Fort Lauderdale shows will have the chance to see these new models and options firsthand.
