Cruisers Yachts Debuts the Cantius 42 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

Cruisers Yachts introduced the Cantius 42 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November, extending the brand’s long-running Cantius line with a model that emphasizes roomy interiors and intelligent use of space. Replacing the Cantius 41, the new 42-foot express cruiser preserves the series’ signature approach to livable layouts while adding modern touches to create a vessel well suited for weekend cruising, day trips and entertaining on the water.

At the heart of the Cantius 42 is a two-stateroom interior arrangement designed to maximize comfort and privacy. The owner’s stateroom is located in the bow and offers an en-suite layout that makes efficient use of the available volume. A VIP stateroom is positioned abaft the master, to port, providing a comfortable second cabin for guests or family. Opposite the VIP stateroom, to starboard, is a dedicated head with a separate shower, arranged to serve the guest cabin and day-use needs without compromising the master suite’s privacy.

One of the Cantius line’s signature elements—the atrium-style stairwell—links the lower accommodations to the main deck and contributes to an open, airy atmosphere. The stairwell leads up into the main saloon, where extensive glazing surrounds the space to bring in natural light and sightlines to the water. A large sliding glass door aft and an overhead sunroof further enhance the feeling of openness, allowing the saloon to flow visually and physically into the cockpit and exterior living areas.

The galley is positioned aft on the main deck for convenient access to both the saloon and cockpit. Opposite the galley, to starboard, an L-shaped dinette creates a comfortable dining and social area that can seat multiple guests. Forward of the galley and dining area is the helm station, where a single-pane windshield provides clear sightlines for the skipper. Companion seating alongside the helm contributes to a social helm arrangement, letting guests remain engaged with the driver while underway or at anchor.

Exterior spaces on the Cantius 42 are designed for relaxation and socializing. The cockpit features an L-shaped corner lounge that seats six and offers a natural gathering point for meals, conversation and entertaining. Forward on the foredeck, a C-shaped lounge provides an additional, more private seating area for sunning or enjoying forward views. A teak-capped swim platform at the stern extends usable space for water access, boarding and lounging at the waterline.

Power on the Cantius 42 is provided as standard by a pair of 370-hp Volvo Penta IPS500 pod drives. This modern propulsion package is known for its compact installation and maneuverability, and on this model it serves as the factory-specified option. Cruisers Yachts did not release pricing at the time of the show.

The Cantius 42 continues Cruisers Yachts’ focus on blending practical layouts with modern styling cues and thoughtful touches that enhance onboard living. With its two-cabin arrangement, bright saloon, versatile exterior seating areas and swim platform, the 42 aims to appeal to buyers seeking a compact express cruiser that still delivers comfortable accommodations and easy onboard flow.
