Grady-White Canyon 326: A Comfortable, Fish-Ready Center Console
For six decades Grady-White has built a reputation for reliable, seaworthy boats that get anglers to the fishing grounds and back safely. The Canyon 326 continues that legacy while adding thoughtful features that make days on the water more comfortable for family and friends. Designed to bridge the gap between the Canyon 306 and Canyon 336, the 326 maximizes interior volume and practical layout without sacrificing offshore capability.
Smart Layout and Interior Space
“The 326 fits in nicely between our Canyon 306 and 336,” says Grady-White design engineer Christian Carraway. The design team focused on making the most of the hull’s beam to create a roomy, well-organized platform. A gunwale scoop-out along the console improves passage past the helm, while hardtop supports are pulled in close to the console to eliminate tripping hazards in the cockpit area. These small but important refinements help the Canyon 326 feel larger and more functional than its footprint suggests.
Fishing Features and Storage
The Canyon 326 is equipped for serious fishing. Onboard systems include a 32-gallon livewell and three insulated fish boxes—two at 180 quarts each and a larger 318-quart box—providing ample capacity for live bait and harvested fish. There are holders for up to 24 rods, including in-floor rod stowage located in the head compartment under the console, which keeps rods secure and out of the way when not in use. A dedicated rigging station includes a freshwater sink with faucet, lockable stowage drawers and organized tackle trays to streamline preparation and clean-up.
Comfortable Seating and Amenities
Despite the emphasis on angling features, the Coast 326 offers abundant seating for guests. The cockpit features a fold-away aft bench to open the space when needed, while the bow contains cushioned lounges on both port and starboard with fold-away backrests. Two forward-facing seats on the console add more passenger seating, complementing the three captain’s chairs at the helm. Inside the console, owners will find a stand-up head compartment with cherry accents, a stainless-steel sink with a pull-out faucet and additional storage—an arrangement that enhances comfort on longer trips.
Performance and Propulsion Options
Grady-White specifies twin 300-hp Yamaha outboards for the Canyon 326, estimating a top speed around 43 knots and an efficient cruise near 26 knots. For owners seeking quicker runs to productive grounds, twin 350-hp Yamaha outboards are available as an option. The boat can also be equipped with Yamaha’s Helm Master joystick steering, including station-keeping modes, to simplify docking, slow-speed maneuvering and holding position over a productive spot.
Deck Access, Swim Platforms and Practical Details
Deck ergonomics support both fishing operations and recreational use. The 326 has built-in swim platforms on both starboard and port sides plus a port-side dive door that makes boarding easier after a swim or when hauling large fish aboard. Freshwater and raw-water washdowns help with cleaning the deck after a day of fishing, and a clear bow-walkthrough provides easy access to the anchor. Forward seating converts to a sun pad with a drop-in cushion, giving the crew a comfortable place to relax when not working the lines.
Why the Canyon 326 Works for Families and Anglers
By combining Grady-White’s offshore capability with a practical, roomy layout, the Canyon 326 suits owners who want a boat that performs on the fishery and welcomes family and friends. Thoughtful storage, dedicated fishing systems, comfortable seating and optional modern controls make the 326 a versatile choice for a wide range of boating activities, from serious offshore trips to casual days cruising and swimming.
