Sea Vee 400Z Center Console Enters Production
Florida-based builder Sea Vee Boats has announced that the Sea Vee 400Z center console is now in production. Designed with serious anglers in mind, the 400Z blends performance-focused hull design with a range of fishery-oriented features and upscale options. The stepped hull and integrated Speed Rails™ help keep the boat tracking well at speed, while the layout and storage focus on practical, high-capacity solutions for extended days on the water.
Design and Helm
Following the proven lines of the Sea Vee 390 Series Console, the 400Z adds six inches of beam for increased cockpit space and stability. The raised helm pod is a standout feature and can be finished in carbon fiber or teak for a premium look and feel. The helm dash is capable of accommodating up to two 24-inch multi-function displays, giving owners modern electronics capacity for navigation, radar, fishfinding and system integration. Sea Vee has also incorporated 18 rod holders into the design to keep rods organized and accessible while cruising or trolling.

Angler-Focused Cockpit and Seating Options
The 400Z offers a range of angler-focused upgrades and seating configurations that emphasize comfort and utility. The Captain’s Edition Helm Seat and Tackle Center package includes a trio of captain’s chairs and a complete aft-facing tackle station, designed for convenient rod and gear access. Optional features include a removable transom bench seat, a rear-facing molded cooler seat and a possible second row of seating to increase passenger capacity without sacrificing fishability. Owners can also select from a standard or oversized hardtop, available in multiple finishes to match the chosen helm pod treatment.
Fishing and Storage Systems
Storage and livewell capacity are substantial and configurable to suit different fishing styles. The aft cockpit includes twin port and starboard 40-gallon corner live wells and twin 100-gallon insulated in-deck fish boxes, providing ample space to keep bait and catch in top condition. Forward, the bow houses a large insulated 161-gallon fish box, with an optional coffin box upgrade for additional versatility. Immediately aft of that bow fish box is a 71-gallon dry storage compartment suitable for gear, safety equipment or provisioning.
Between the fish boxes and cockpit, a 40-inch by 36-inch centerline compartment is provided for systems such as a SeaKeeper stabilizing unit or, as an alternative, an optional in-deck live well to meet specific owner needs. Practical access features include a swinging hull-side door to port and an integrated dive ladder, making water access and boarding straightforward during fishing, diving or tender operations.

Accommodations and Electronics
Below deck, the 400Z is equipped with a console sink, a shower and a toilet to support extended trips and offshore days. Comfort and connectivity are emphasized with standard satellite television, Starlink internet and a premium sound system—features that blend lifestyle and fishing capability for owners who expect both performance and onboard amenities. Bow lounger areas offer optional port and starboard upgrades with additional storage beneath the cushions.
Propulsion and Handling
The Sea Vee 400Z is designed to accept multiple outboard configurations, including triple or quad engine setups, allowing owners to tailor propulsion and performance to their expectations. Steering and maneuverability options include the availability of bow thrusters and joystick control systems, which can simplify close-quarters handling and dockside positioning.
Summary
The Sea Vee 400Z center console brings a combination of performance, fishability and upscale options to Sea Vee’s lineup. With generous livewell and fish box capacity, a thoughtful helm and tackle center, flexible seating and hardtop choices, and modern connectivity and entertainment systems, the 400Z is positioned to serve anglers and boat owners who want a capable, comfortable platform for serious offshore fishing and long days on the water.
