Yamaha Hydrogen Outboard

Yamaha’s hydrogen-powered outboard marks a significant step for marine propulsion as the company moves toward reducing lifecycle emissions. Announced as part of Yamaha’s broader strategy to achieve carbon-neutral Scope 3 emissions by 2050, the hydrogen outboard is designed to produce motive combustion without CO2 emissions, following the same hydrogen-engine principles Yamaha has applied to its land-based systems. This technology aims to offer an environmentally conscious alternative for boating while preserving performance characteristics expected from modern marine engines.
