Australian builder Riviera has unveiled the global launch of its all-new 58 Sports Motor Yacht, scheduled to appear at the end of this year. Measuring 64 feet, 8 inches, the 58 SMY will make its U.S. debut at the 2024 Miami International Boat Show in February, marking Riviera’s entry into the sporty, luxury motor yacht segment with a vessel designed for entertaining, watersports and comfortable long weekends aboard.
Boarding the Riviera 58 is straightforward and guest-friendly. Large side boarding doors open to a spacious water sports platform that serves as an entry point for swimming, wakeboarding or alfresco entertaining at anchor. For owners seeking additional convenience, an optional high/low hydraulic platform is available to ease boarding and tender handling, enhancing access to the water for family and friends.

The flybridge on the 58 Sports Motor Yacht is designed to maximize visibility and social interaction. It provides full 360-degree sightlines for safe maneuvering and includes an auxiliary joystick control station to assist the skipper with responsive handling. The flybridge layout is social by design: an L-shaped lounge with a table and ottoman invites guests to relax, enjoy refreshments from a dedicated drawer refrigerator and, when needed, convert the area into additional sleeping space using a slide-out double bed.
Customization options let owners tailor the flybridge to their needs. A winged sports pack arch is offered to provide dedicated mounting space for radar and communications domes, while stabilization choices include both gyroscopic and fin systems to improve onboard comfort while underway or at anchor.
At the helm, a curved tempered glass windscreen offers expansive sightlines, and the helm area benefits from an electric sunroof and sliding side windows that can be opened to let fresh air through on fair-weather days. These features combine to create a bright, ventilated pilothouse that keeps the skipper connected to the environment and guests.
The cockpit and alfresco deck are engineered for social life on the water. To port at the entry to the alfresco deck is a fully integrated barbecue station with a sink and a concealed rubbish bin—ideal for casual dining and entertaining. To starboard, an icemaker and insulated icebox (with an optional freezer upgrade) keep drinks and provisions chilled. A versatile lounger steps up to the alfresco deck and converts into a double daybed for sunbathing, while an L-shaped dining lounge opposite provides comfortable seating for meals. Two ottomans offer additional flexible seating, and glass quarter panels on both sides of the deck provide weather protection without compromising visibility.

Wide side decks make moving between the alfresco area and the foredeck safe and easy. The foredeck is another dedicated relaxation zone with seating for up to eight guests, a large lounge seat and a removable table with integrated drink holders for convenient alfresco dining or lounging. Multiple in-deck lockers provide storage for fenders, lines, the dining table and an optional sun awning, while owners can choose to carry a tender on foredeck davits for easy launching.
The accommodations deck is configured to sleep seven guests plus one crew member across three well-appointed staterooms and three heads. The full-beam owner’s stateroom is a private, light-filled retreat with its own head, abundant overhead hatches and hull windows for ventilation and natural light. A utility room immediately aft of the owner’s cabin can be specified as a crew cabin or service space according to the owner’s preference, offering flexibility for different cruising lifestyles.

Underway, the 58 SMY is powered by twin Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1350 engines, each rated to deliver a combined performance package of 1,000 horsepower and supported by a substantial fuel capacity of 1,189 gallons. Riviera has not yet released official cruising speeds or range figures; those will follow as sea trials and final performance testing are completed. Propulsion by the D13 IPS drives is intended to provide efficient power delivery plus good maneuverability, especially when used in conjunction with the optional joystick control stations and stabilization systems.
The Riviera 58 Sports Motor Yacht is positioned for buyers seeking a fusion of sport-oriented design and upscale comfort. Its flexible layout, generous social spaces, optional equipment for enhanced seakeeping and tidy engineering lines make it a modern option in the premium motor yacht category. Riviera’s global launch later this year and the U.S. showcase at the Miami International Boat Show will give prospective owners a first close look at how the 58 SMY balances family-friendly features with performance-minded systems.
