Michigan-based boatbuilder Tiara Yachts has introduced its newest model, the EX 54, expanding the company’s EX series with a versatile 54-foot inboard cruiser. Measuring 54 feet, 3 inches overall (LOA) with a 15-foot, 11-inch beam, the EX 54 is positioned as a sister vessel to the EX 60 and aims to combine luxury, comfort, and day-cruising capability in a single, thoughtfully packaged platform.

According to Tom Slikkers, CEO and President of Tiara Yachts, “A sister vessel to the EX 60, the EX 54 will be a great addition to our offering.” The design emphasizes an adventure-focused lifestyle while delivering upscale finishes and a broad range of entertainment options intended to make both short excursions and longer weekends aboard more enjoyable. The EX 54’s combination of open outdoor living spaces and private below-deck accommodations reflects Tiara’s aim to appeal to owners who want a luxurious boat that is equally capable for entertaining, family cruising, or outdoor sports.

Exterior Features and Versatile Cockpit Layouts

The EX 54’s exterior is organized to maximize social interaction and on-deck utility. Notable exterior elements include a large swim platform, twin terraces, a custom aft cockpit, and a flexible salon layout. The aft cockpit is offered in three distinct modular layouts, allowing owners to tailor the boat to their preferred activities:

Below decks, the EX 54 offers three private cabins and two heads, providing comfortable sleeping accommodations for up to six adults. The interior layout is arranged to deliver privacy for guests and owners while maintaining an open, airy feel in the salon and common areas. Premium finishes and thoughtfully placed storage enhance liveability for overnight stays and extended cruising. The flexible salon design can accommodate entertaining needs while creating a smooth flow between interior and exterior spaces.

Propulsion, Control and Electronics

The EX 54 is powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS2 inboard drives, each rated at 950 horsepower, and integrates advanced control technologies such as Glass Cockpit displays and Joystick Plus control for precise maneuvering. Standard electronics packages on the EX 54 come from Garmin, and include radar, autopilot, marine radios, and navigation systems to support safe and confident cruising. These systems are intended to simplify operation and enhance situational awareness for owners and operators.

Availability and Showing

Tiara Yachts plans to present the first EX 54 for viewing in February at the 2024 Miami International Boat Show. Prospective buyers and boaters interested in the new model can expect to see the boat’s modular cockpit options and interior accommodations in person at that event.
