Sailfish Boats Unveils New 232 Center Console

Sailfish Boats Introduces the 232 Center Console (232 CC)

Sailfish Boats has announced its newest model, the 232 Center Console (232 CC). Measuring 23 feet overall with an 8-foot, 6-inch beam, the 232 CC is designed to blend offshore capability with family-friendly comfort and practical fishing features. The new model aims to deliver a smooth ride, solid construction, and a configurable layout to suit a variety of boating styles.

Hull Design and Construction

The 232 CC uses Sailfish’s VDS hull architecture: a three-stepped hull engineered with varying step angles to improve performance and handling. The deepest of those steps reaches 24 degrees, a design choice that helps the boat slice through waves and maintain a confident ride in variable conditions. That hull geometry can contribute to quicker planing and a more forgiving ride offshore compared with a traditional single-step hull.

Sailfish builds the 232 CC using its Sailtech construction process. This method combines advanced materials—Kevlar and carbon fiber—with a quad-axial fiberglass mat and Prisma structural beams to create a stiff, durable hull that resists flex while staying relatively light. The composite layup and reinforced stringer system are focused on longevity, structural integrity, and stable performance under load.

Deck Layout and Angler-Friendly Features

The 232 CC places practical features where anglers and families need them. Port and starboard transom doors provide easy boarding from a dock or the swim platform, simplifying boarding with gear or children. The rear bench conceals twin 10-gallon livewells, positioned for convenient access while fishing. Additional convenient storage includes a Baja beach cooler at the transom and a 65-quart Engel hard-side carry-on cooler stowed under the leaning post—ideal for long days on the water.

Helm, Protection, and Customization

At the helm, Sailfish integrates a full-height windshield into the T-top frame to offer protection from wind and spray, improving comfort for the captain and passengers. The helm configuration is highly customizable: owners can specify electronics packages ranging from a single Garmin 1243 multifunction display (MFD) up to larger arrays, and opt for a leaning post that can be set to face aft for socializing or sight fishing. This flexibility allows owners to tailor the console to their preferred use, whether that’s focused offshore fishing, family cruising, or a mix of both.

Bow Seating and Onboard Amenities

The bow area features wraparound seating with chaise-style backrests to enhance passenger comfort on longer runs or when anchored. The front of the console provides access to a Porta Potti head, which is included as a standard feature for convenience and privacy. For owners who prefer a more permanent solution, a pump-out head is offered as an optional upgrade.

Fuel, Power, and Performance

Fuel capacity on the 232 CC is 108 gallons, supporting extended range for offshore trips and allowing owners to fish longer without frequent refueling stops. The standard power range for the model includes 200-horsepower outboards from Mercury, Yamaha, or Suzuki, with the boat rated up to a maximum of 250 horsepower. This power band is intended to provide a balance between efficient cruising and responsive acceleration when accelerating onto plane or running to fishing grounds.

Availability

Sailfish plans to launch the 232 Center Console this summer. The model’s combination of a stepped VDS hull, Sailtech composite construction, angler-focused features, flexible helm options, and comfortable seating make it a versatile choice for boaters seeking a capable 23-foot center console for a range of activities from inshore trips to offshore days on the water.

For prospective buyers, the 232 CC represents Sailfish’s continued emphasis on durable construction and practical layouts that meet the needs of anglers and family boaters alike.
