Apreamare Launches the New Gozzo 38 Cabin: An Overnight Version of the Popular Gozzo 35
Italian boatbuilder Apreamare has launched the first unit of its new Gozzo 38 Cabin, an overnight model developed from the company’s widely admired Gozzo 35. The 38 Cabin expands on the classic Sorrento Gozzo lines while adding additional deck and hospitality space, modern design touches and overnight accommodations suited to contemporary cruising.

Dimensions and Layout
At 36 feet, 9 inches LOA with a 12-foot, 2-inch beam, the Gozzo 38 Cabin provides more usable deck area and interior comfort compared with its predecessor. Belowdecks the layout includes a forward V-berth and a single head with a separate shower, arranged to maximize comfort for short cruises and overnight stays. A second berth positioned aft of the V-berth expands sleeping options without compromising the vessel’s compact footprint.
Deck, Cockpit and Onboard Living
The Gozzo 38 Cabin’s extended platform and reshaped deckhouse create a sinuous, enveloping profile that keeps the hallmark elegance of the Sorrento Gozzo while introducing contemporary elements for modern navigators. Sliding doors connect the aft deck with the cockpit, improving flow between the cockpit and the exterior living areas and making the aft deck feel like an integral social space. The aft deck can be fitted with a dinette that stows away when not in use, offering flexibility for dining, relaxing or fishing.
The cockpit and helm have been designed to balance practical ergonomics with refined styling. The helm layout offers clear sightlines and straightforward access to controls, while cockpit seating and the aft deck arrangement prioritize guest comfort for both day trips and overnight passages.

Engineering and Performance
Apreamare offers two twin-engine power configurations for the Gozzo 38 Cabin to suit different owner preferences. The first option uses twin Volvo Penta D4-270 DPI engines (230 hp each), delivering an approximate cruising speed of 27 knots and a top speed near 32 knots. The alternative is twin Volvo Penta D4-320 shaft-drive engines (320 hp each), which provide a slightly different performance profile with a cruise speed around 26 knots and a maximum speed of about 31 knots. These options give buyers the choice between slightly higher cruise speed or greater midrange power, depending on intended use and handling preferences.
Design Philosophy and Target Owner
“Thanks to the extended platform and a sinuous and enveloping deckhouse, this model not only preserves the iconic elegance of the Sorrento Gozzo but introduces contemporary design elements designed according to the needs of the modern navigator,” said Giovanni Aprea, Sales Manager of Apreamare. The Gozzo 38 Cabin is aimed at owners who appreciate classic Mediterranean styling but want the convenience and comfort required for overnight cruising. Its compact yet thoughtful accommodation, efficient deck flow and modern engine choices make it suitable for weekend escapes, coastal cruising and entertaining aboard.
Interior Amenities
Inside, the single head with separate shower helps preserve onboard privacy and convenience, while the forward V-berth and second berth aft of it offer comfortable sleeping arrangements for family and guests. The layout places an emphasis on light, ventilation and straightforward circulation, allowing the interior to feel larger than its dimensions might suggest.
Debut and Availability
The Gozzo 38 Cabin is scheduled to make its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September. Apreamare expects to showcase the model’s combination of traditional Gozzo styling, expanded deck areas and practical overnight accommodations to a wide audience of prospective owners and brokerages.
With its elegant profile, flexible interior layout and two Volvo Penta engine options, the Gozzo 38 Cabin positions itself as a versatile choice for buyers seeking the charm of a classic Sorrento Gozzo with contemporary comforts for modern coastal cruising.
