5 New Boats Debuting at boot Düsseldorf

Boot Düsseldorf marks its 55th anniversary this year as the world’s largest indoor boat show. The event opens tomorrow on the banks of the Rhine in Germany and will bring together exhibitors from more than 68 countries. From propulsion systems and yacht equipment to marine art and lifestyle accessories, the show covers the full spectrum of boating. Among the many introductions, five new models make their global debut—each illustrating different trends in design, performance and cruising capability.

Mayla GT

The Mayla GT is a high-performance 44-foot carbon-fiber sportboat that blends radical styling with race-oriented engineering. Built around a Deep-V hull fitted with Petestep transverse deflectors, the hullform and lightweight construction are intended to maximize acceleration and top-end speed while keeping weight to a minimum—the hull weighs roughly 9,000 lbs. Propulsion is provided by twin Corvette V8 engines rated at 650 hp each, with options that extend up to 1,500 hp total. The combination of a stiff carbon structure, a narrow wetted surface and substantial power gives the Mayla GT a “slingshot” feel off the line, making it a compelling choice for buyers focused on explosive acceleration and sporty handling.

Saxdor 400 GTC

Saxdor’s 400 GTC represents the closed-cabin version of the builder’s flagship GTO platform, and it measures 40 feet overall. The design retains the company’s emphasis on a versatile cockpit—opening on three sides—to create a bright, airy entertaining area ideal for watersports, socializing or relaxed anchoring. The enclosed pilothouse option adds weather protection and family-friendly accommodations, increasing all-season usability. Powertrain options mirror the GTO line, with twin Mercury Marine V10 outboard choices at 300 hp, 350 hp or 400 hp per engine, allowing owners to prioritize efficiency or performance depending on their needs.

Omikron OT-60

Greek yard Omikron introduces the OT-60, a 60-foot motor yacht designed with long-range island-hopping and relaxed, adventure-style cruising in mind. Conceived by Milan-based yacht designer Lorenzo Argento, the OT-60 has a notably wide 20-foot beam that creates spacious below-deck accommodations and generous living areas. The builder describes the yacht as “feeling like a sailboat,” emphasizing a calm, quiet ride and efficient passage-making. Twin Yanmar diesel packages—either 150 hp or 250 hp units—provide propulsion, delivering a stated cruising speed of about 8 knots and a range exceeding 1,000 nautical miles, well suited for extended coastal or offshore passages.

Steeler 50S Trans-Atlantic

Designed for true long-distance voyaging, the Steeler 50S Trans-Atlantic is an aluminum yacht built by Dutch yard Steeler Yachts with offshore capability at its core. The hull pairs a sturdy aluminum structure with Magnus retractable rotor stabilizers to improve comfort and control in heavy seas. Twin Volvo D8 turbodiesels rated at 600 hp each provide the power for extended passages, while a substantial 1,320-gallon fuel capacity supports long ranges between refueling stops. The 50S TA also incorporates a Wingit-Kite system on the foredeck—an auxiliary wind-assist rig that can help reduce fuel consumption by harnessing wind power on favorable passages—features that appeal to owners planning ambitious trans-oceanic itineraries.

Galvani Ventisei-e

Electric propulsion continues to gain momentum, and the Galvani Ventisei-e from Holland’s Galvani Boats typifies the move toward clean, quiet dayboats. At 26 feet overall, the Ventisei-e follows the styling of traditional Dutch open dayboats while offering fully electric drivetrains developed by Bellmarine. Two drivetrain packages are available: a lower-power option pairing a 10 kW motor with a 30 kWh battery, and a higher-performance setup featuring a 100 kW motor with a 64 kWh battery pack. These choices let owners balance cruising time and top speed to meet local usage patterns, whether for short harbor trips or longer coastal excursions without emissions or excessive noise.

Boot Düsseldorf’s lineup this year highlights the diversity of modern boating: extreme performance in lightweight composites, family-oriented multifunctional cruisers, efficient long-range passagemakers and zero-emission dayboats. For buyers, enthusiasts and industry professionals attending the show, these five debuts offer a snapshot of current trends—where materials, propulsion choices and hull technology are defining new possibilities on the water.
