Albemarle Introduces New 45-Foot Carolinian Fish Sportfishing Model
Albemarle Boats of North Carolina is expanding its lineup with a new 45-foot Carolinian Fish model designed for anglers who want a blend of serious offshore capability, comfortable accommodations and efficient handling. The new model measures 45 feet overall length (LOA) with a 13-foot, 6-inch beam and retains a Carolina-style hull designed for predictable performance in offshore conditions.
The 45 boasts a shallow 2-foot, 2-inch draft and a hull built using vacuum infusion with vinylester resin and a foam core. This construction method improves structural stiffness while keeping weight controlled, and vinylester resin offers enhanced resistance to osmotic blistering. The Carolina-style hull provides a deep-vee entry and a hull form tuned for offshore comfort and seakeeping, making the boat well-suited for extended runs and variable sea states.

Propulsion and Handling
Standard propulsion for the 45 is a triple-engine setup using three 600-hp Mercury outboards. The package is configured with an integrated joystick piloting system to simplify low-speed maneuvering, docking and tight-space handling. Electric trim tabs and a bow thruster are also standard equipment, giving the captain fine control over trim and lateral movements for easier station-keeping and improved fuel-efficient running attitudes.
Fishing Features and Cockpit Layout
The new Albemarle 45 is laid out to deliver serious sportfishing capability while maintaining guest comfort. Fishing-focused features include a temperature-controlled 130-gallon fish box in the cockpit, a 70-gallon transom livewell for larger baits or catch, and a dedicated 20-gallon bow livewell for additional bait storage. Fresh and raw water wash-down systems are standard, supporting quick cleanup after a day of fishing. The cockpit is arranged to allow functional angling space while still accommodating moveable seating and storage.
Guest Seating and Helm Area
Forward of the helm there is seating for three, giving passengers a comfortable place to ride while keeping clear sightlines for the captain. The helm layout is designed to integrate navigation and engine controls with the joystick system and trim controls, providing a streamlined command center for both fishing trips and extended cruising.
Accommodations and Interior Design
Below decks the 45 offers overnighting accommodations aimed at longer trips and family outings. The main cabin features an aft lounge that converts into a queen berth, creating a flexible sleeping area. Forward, a dinette with an electronically raising and lowering table provides dining space that can transform into additional berth or lounge space as needed. The partial galley is fitted with an electric cooktop and counter space suitable for basic meal preparation. Guest convenience is addressed with a single head that includes a separate stall shower—allowing two-piece functionality for more comfortable overnight stays.
Customization and Optional Upgrades
Albemarle will offer a range of options and upgrades to personalize the 45. Choices span practical fishing enhancements such as additional rod holders and electric reel outlets to comfort upgrades like ice makers and other amenities that support extended trips. These options allow owners to tailor the boat toward pure fishing performance, family cruising, or a blended use case.
Availability and Pricing
Albemarle has confirmed the 45 will join its lineup but has not yet released final pricing or a full options schedule. The company says more detailed specifications and pricing information will be announced at a future date.
With a combination of traditional Carolina hull design, modern vacuum-infused construction, powerful triple-outboard propulsion, and an interior designed for overnight comfort, the new Albemarle 45 Carolinian Fish aims to satisfy anglers who need offshore capability without sacrificing creature comforts for extended trips.
