Maritimo Black Edition: Upgraded Enclosed Flybridge Models for 2026

Australian boat builder Maritimo has unveiled the new Black Edition package for its enclosed flybridge motoryachts, introducing a suite of design and layout upgrades aimed at improving comfort, style and onboard functionality. Offered as an optional upgrade when ordering certain models, the Black Edition is available for the enclosed flybridge M55, M60 and M600 Offshore Series.

Owner-driven enhancements based on customer feedback

The Black Edition was developed in response to owner and dealer feedback requesting refined styling, greater living space and smarter use of onboard systems. Rather than changing hull form or propulsion, Maritimo focused on practical refinements to living areas, ergonomics and onboard amenities—upgrades owners can choose as part of an optional package when they place an order for a qualifying model.

Redesigned cockpit and entertaining spaces

One of the most visible changes is the cockpit redesign. Maritimo has increased the transom island size and expanded the distance between the cockpit and the swim platform, creating a more open flow for boarding, water access and entertaining. The upper cockpit also receives a functional upgrade with an additional L-shaped couch and a folding table that maximizes seating while retaining flexible circulation.

To support alfresco living the upper cockpit gains a dedicated wet bar that includes a fridge and icemaker, improving the vessel’s capacity for hosting and reducing trips below deck. These adjustments were made to enhance both social use and everyday convenience during cruising and extended stays aboard.

Aft galley improvements for practicality and storage

The aft galley layout has been reworked to provide more usable counter and bench space while retaining essential appliances such as hot plates, oven and storage lockers. Maritimo consolidated the fridge and freezer into a single unit that frees up room for an overhead cabinet above the counter, improving stowage and countertop workflow.

For owners who entertain frequently or prefer an enhanced beverage setup, there is an optional wine fridge that can be installed inside the island bench or beneath the stairs on the port side of the galley. These options offer greater customization depending on owner priorities—whether that’s additional refrigeration, expanded preparation surfaces or added storage.

Upgraded helm, flybridge and forward deck amenities

The Black Edition’s enclosed flybridge receives a low-profile dash treatment with redesigned multifunction and engine displays for a cleaner, more modern helm environment. A fully electric helm seat is included as part of the package, providing a higher level of comfort and adjustability for extended passages and precise maneuvering.

Up forward, the deck layout has been revised to include a larger sun pad with adjustable backrests, built-in dual drink holders and secure hand grabs on each side for safety and usability underway. Maritimo has also added an extra forward-facing lounge to increase social seating on the bow, making the foredeck more functional as an additional living area.

Performance and availability

Maritimo has kept propulsion systems unchanged across the Black Edition models, maintaining the same performance and engineering packages as the standard M55, M60 and M600 Offshore Series. The Black Edition is positioned as a lifestyle and layout upgrade rather than a performance modification.

Maritimo plans to launch the Black Edition models in Australia in May, with the U.S. debut scheduled for October at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The package will be offered as an optional set of upgrades selectable at the time of order for qualifying enclosed flybridge models.

Summary

The Maritimo Black Edition refines the enclosed flybridge experience through targeted upgrades to entertaining areas, galley ergonomics, helm comfort and forward deck functionality. With changes driven by owner feedback and focused on livability rather than propulsion, the Black Edition provides a customizable option for buyers of the M55, M60 and M600 Offshore Series who want enhanced onboard comfort and style.
